Making Connections: Planning Parks and Open Space Networks in Urban Neighbourhoods
Making Connections explores innovative public space strategies to create a system of public spaces that includes our parks, streets, laneways, and plazas. Using case studies from around North America, the report proposes eight principles to help guide the creation of this network. It then highlights specific opportunities within Toronto’s core where these principles could be put to work on the ground.
Making Connections has been downloaded over 15,000 times since it was released in April 2015. The accompanying exhibit has been shown at the Fort York Visitor’s Centre, 401 Richmond, Metro Hall, Markham House, and more to come.
