New Orleans Brass Band at Hot & Spicy Food Festival

Harbourfront’s Hot & Spicy Food Festival runs all weekend long. Saturday will be a huge highlight when Treme Brass Band takes the stage. Named after the famous New Orleans neighbourhood, the legendary brass band has been delighting audiences with their traditional New Orleans-style brass band music. This is a free outdoor show not to be missed.

Shrek in Cedar Brook Park

On Friday night after sundown, the lovable green ogre will come to life on the big screen in Scarborough’s Cedar Brook Park. Arrive for 7 for live acoustic music and button making courtesy of Councillor Glenn De Baeremaeker. Also get warmed up with great Toronto Parks and Recreation activities. It’ll be a great night to gather in the open air and enjoy a classic movie.

See The Hip Live in Sorauren Park

On Saturday night, a live screening of CBC’s The Tragically Hip: A National Celebration, will be presented on the big outdoor screen at the Sorauren Park Town Square. Presented by the Friends of Sorauren Park in association with CBC Music. The concert will be screened live from Kingston. You’ll feel like a shirtless Justin Trudeau is singing right along with you.

Get Up close with Carnival at Littles Road Park

On Saturday, experience Carnival up close. See incredible Costumes on display, dance to Calypso and Soca music & explore traditional carnival themes at Littles Road Park from 12-5pm.
