Dehydrating & Work Party
Organizer: West Broadway Community Organization
Join Elder Audrey Logan at West Broadway's Indigenous Agriculture Site to learn to harvest and dehydrate foods, teas, and medicines. Dehydrating is a great skill to have to help preserve food for later and to cut back on food waste. This workshop will allow participants to get their hands in the dirt and participate in hands on learning. Elder Audrey Logan has been educating and guiding inner city gardeners for decades, sharing her vast knowledge of traditional agricultural practices with anyone lucky enough to listen. Audrey is the caretaker of Deer Spirit Permaculture Garden and the founder of Dehydration Nations, a grassroots, Indigenous-led initiative that teaches people to dehydrate food.
