NatureSketch is an eco-literacy program taught through art, inspired by Robert Bateman’s artistic practices and personal philosophies. Participants explore their local ecosystem guided by a NatureSketch artist/educator. Children, youths and Adults will learn the power of observation, the importance of conservation of our environment through ecoliteracy principles and information about the natural world around them, explore art techniques and artistic expression, and experience the benefits of spending time in nature to their own well-being, all while incorporating elements of sketching and nature journaling to other areas of learning.
