Friends of Watkinson Park
The Dundas-Watkinson parkette serves as an important space for many nearby low-income residents seeking serenity, a place to meet friends, get some fresh air and to be in touch with nature. Our work involves: maintaining the park as a safe space for low-income community members; to restore some of its natural properties through our Native plant garden; and to organize for a decolonized understanding of the park space and Junction neighbourhood as a whole.
