Albion Hills Community Farm
Albion Hills Community Farm (AHCF) housed on 17.3 acres within the Albion Hills Conservation Area (park) in Caledon, Ontario. The farm is accessed through the park and it has an entrance off Humber Station Road. The farm has community gardens (including a fifty member allotment garden), programs in education and sustainability and a market garden. The education program for children, youth and adults is targeted to developing gardening and farming skills through: special events, camps, school and group visits; corporate volunteer days; and, work-shares, internships, and co-op placements. Education projects include: bees, pollination and a hive share program, garlic, chickens, monarchs, hedgerows and compost. The farm focuses on community engagement and community building through growing, eating, preparing, learning and sharing sustainable healthy local food. The farm provides an open space where food and nature meet.
