Alexandra Park community stewardship

So far the group consist of myself and partnered with the Scadding court community centre. This is a new group. There was once a 'Friends of Alexandra park' but that group has not been operating for at least 6 years. ( maybe longer).
The focus is one restoring the previous beds set up by 'Friends of Alexandra" that have to know been overgrown and unmaintained for many years. The added focus will be on establishing fruit and vegetable beds around the perimeter of the Scadding court community allotments.
i have previous experience in coordinating volunteers as an employee of Evergreen Brickworks. Plus 26 years in the agriculture industry my education includes various diplomas and certificates in Horticulture and Sustainable Urban Agriculture from the University of Guelph.
There is a desperate urge for the community to come together and support those in need and make Alexandra park beautiful again.
