Blitz is a people-driven channel exploring where, why, when, and how nature exists in cities through art, science, and experience. We aim to educate others on the importance of conservation and co-existence by immersing people in the built environment.

Citizen science is a catalyst to understanding our urban ecosystems. Which we believe can improve the form, function, and feel of our cities. It begins by getting people outside and sharing thoughts, ideas, and creativity. By doing this, we aim to make collaborative discoveries of patterns in cityscapes both socially and environmentally.

We bring people outside to learn about what lives around them through immersive and educational events. We specialize in organizing and executing bioblitzes that bridge the public and professional realms to collect information about biodiversity and ecological communities. Bioinventories like these can inform researchers, scientists, and decision makers while educating communities about the state of the environment. We work with stewardship groups, schools, government, and private landowners to inventory all biological assets to provide robust baseline information, fill in data gaps, and empower citizens. Some of our projects are ongoing monitoring programs while others are weekend events that unite citizens and professionals to become stewards for their nearby nature.
