Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society – Nova Scotia Chapter (CPAWS-NS)
The Nova Scotia Chapter of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS-NS) works to protect Nova Scotia’s rich natural heritage for the benefit and enjoyment of all Nova Scotians. We aim to establish new protected areas, on land and in the ocean, and ensure that existing protected areas are well-managed for ecological integrity. In total, we have helped to establish more than 150 new parks and protected areas in Nova Scotia.
Parks we work in:
- Sackville River Wilderness Area
- Blue Mountain - Birch Cove Lakes
