Children’s Garden at Robert F. Legget Park

The Children's Garden is in Robert F. Legget Park. It exists to engage the community and to educate the senses, the mind and the imagination while having fun in nature. There are organic food-growing beds, a rain-harvesting tool/play-shed, a bursting-with-colour fence painted by Lady Evelyn Alternative School students and other children in the community and beyond, a seating circle for story time and activities, composting, a sandbox and a variety of shrubs and trees. During the later spring, summer and early fall there are regular hands-on activities weekly, art and organic gardening workshops, and more.
