Corydon Osborne Residents Group and Trees Please

I belong to two groups who are working towards attaining or improving parks in our community. Trees Please is a coalition focused on attaining both recognition and funding for our urban forest. The Corydon Osborne Resident's Association is working to improve our community and one of our top priorities is increase our park space, as we have only 3 parks that amount to .3 HA and an estimated population of over 14,000 people. The population density of 3725.7persons/km2 for our community ranks as one of the highest in the City of Winnipeg. We are lobbying city officials, writing letters and attending meetings in an effort to attain more park space.
