Debra Dynes Family House

The Debra Dynes Family House is a multi-service organization in the heart of a social housing community that sees approximately 100 multiculturally diverse low-income people per day. The Family House has a strong focus on children and youth. Rideauview Park runs directly through the community and is a dynamic resource for people who have limited ability to access services and programs outside the community. The park is part of everything we do-- community garden, recreation sports, community events, and much more. Our focus is to create experiences that are meaningful, culturally diverse, and provide opportunities for learning and skill building eg. we have created together 26 x raised bed community garden, installed a 4 x panel youth-created mural, park clean ups, and partnered with Hidden Harvest.
