Downtown Niagara Falls Business Improvement Area

A Business Improvement Area (BIA) is a "made-in-Ontario" innovation that allows local business people and commercial property owners and tenants to join together and, with the municipality's support, to organize, finance, and carry out physical improvements and promote economic development in their district. Founded in 1972, Downtown Niagara Falls' core mandates include beautification, communication, marketing and promotion, special events, revitalization and maintenance, business recruitment, and economic development. Downtown Niagara Falls is located a two-minute drive from one of Canada's top tourist destinations, the Niagara Falls; therefore, all mandates are adjusted to include and attract both international and domestic tourism from the Niagara Parks to shop, eat, and play downtown Niagara Falls. We represent over 120 businesses and property owners.
