Eau Claire Community Association (ECCA)

We are the Eau Claire Community Association, and our purpose is to maintain and enhance the quality of live of residents in the Eau Claire community. We are striving to bring the community together, and add vibrancy to our locale. As we are located in downtown Calgary, we are often forgotten and assumed to be mainly commercial. Eau Claire is located on one of the largest inner city parks in Calgary (Prince's Island Park), which is 20 hectares, and abuts the Bow River.

Prince's Island Park has undergone significant upgrading over the previous three years, making it more user friendly to pedestrians and cyclists, with delta gardens, the Peace Bridge, widened pedestrian pathways, and dedicated bike lanes.

With that, we want to introduce programming for local residents, for a number of reasons:
1) Through this, we are hoping to bring the community together 2) We want set programming that makes use of the wonderful natural space at our doorstep and 3) educate residents about this space, and how we can be stewards of it.
