Ecology Action Centre

Since 1971, the Ecology Action Centre has been a member-based environmental charity in Nova Scotia, leading conversation and change on environmental issues from biodiversity, to climate change, to environmental justice.

This work has included raising awareness about the value of parks and protected areas, and advocating for a greater network of protected areas in Nova Scotia. We also support partner groups in their work to protected and steward wild places. And sometimes we host events in park and protected areas, so we can all reconnect with the wild and come to care for it even more.

Parks we work in:

  • Blue Mountain Birch Cove Lakes Regional Park
  • Sandy Lake Park (Jack Lake Regional Park)

Things we do:
