Free the Fern

Free the Fern is a volunteer group committed to removing invasive weeds and planting native plants along the Champlain Heights Trails, in South Vancouver.

The Champlain Trails are a portion of Douglas fir forest that was preserved from development during the 1980s. Since then, it has become overrun by invasive plants. We hope to rewild the space by removing invasives and planting native plants.

Free the Fern believes in community connection through environmental stewardship.
