Friends Of Lotherton

The purpose of our group is to access and use the green spaces/ parks available in our community. We want to learn about nature and how important it is and how we can preserve our environment. Being able to use the green spaces in our community enables the residents who are facing social isolation, an opportunity to interact with others while still be close to home. It gives our many seniors the opportunity to sit outside and enjoy the weather, interact with others. watch their grand children, all without having to travel far or use the TTC. It also helps with the issue of mobility and access for them as many of them have challenges of walking.
