Friends of Wexford Park
Dedicated to preserving the forest woodlot and guiding the development of the surrounding park, recreation areas, and Gatineau Hydro Corridor.
A large mature forest with a children's playground, shady lawns, two small softball diamonds and close to the Pan-Am bike path through the corridor. Also used for cricket in the summer and tobogganing in the winter. Great place to cross country ski, too. Tons of wildlife including the usual (squirrels, raccoons, opossum, rabbits, coyotes); but also several nesting pairs of hawks. Several protected species of flora to go with the fauna.
