Glenelm Neighbourhood Association
The Glenelm Neighbourhood Association (GeNA) has three key priorities: Growing and promoting a sense of community and connectedness, increasing safety and reducing crime, and advocating for quality infrastructure and amenities that grow with the needs of our community.
Our parks (primarily Elmwood Park, affectionately known by locals as "Roxy Park") are places that neighbours connect and celebrate. Whether it's a community picnic, move in the park, fresh air yoga or other fun events, we are actively trying to make optimal use of our neighbourhood parks and to advocate for improvements. We are the official adopt-a-park steward for Elmwood Park.
Parks we work in:
- Elmwood (Roxy) Park
- Hespeler Park
- Clara Hughes Recreation Park
Things we do:
- advocacy
- cleanups
- games
- movie nights
- picnics/bbqs
- pumpkin parades
- tree inventory
- tree planting
We're looking for volunteers in these areas:
- Regular volunteers
- Occasional volunteers
