Lendrum Community League

Lendrum Place is a vibrant community with an active Community League. The League itself has approximately 130 household members (but the community is home to approximately 800 dwellings). Lendrum Community League aims to provide community programming and events that meet the needs of our community members and supports our community vision of a “vibrant, diverse community where neighbours share and connect.” In 2014, we celebrated 50 years as a community. Other notable successes include the completion of a new playground area in October 2015 and in July 2018 we celebrated the opening of our new splash park, both of which involved extensive fundraising and community support.

The League is supportive of a number of community initiatives including the Lendrum Park Stewards and the Lendrum Food Network. The Lendrum Park Stewards is a group of 8-10 individuals that maintains and enhances our community's natural area. This group has been meeting weekly during the summer months for the past 5 years. The Lendrum Food Network is a more recently established group of 34 neighbours who share a love of growing (and eating!) food. We came together in March 2018 and had a very successful inaugural year.
