Nelson Park Community Garden

We are a group of over 80 gardeners who use Nelson park to grow veggies, fruit and flowers for the community. We compost all waste and also have an Apiary. We hold workshops to teach how to compost and it's benifits. We also teach the public about the inportance of pollinators through our Bee hives. We are a melting pot of old and young, all ethnic backgrounds. It helps with bringing people together that are isolated like seniors. We clean the park, help with security and the creation of a comfortable space for all.
