Omnia Sol – CBSAP STEM Outreach / RASC Solar Astronomy

With the support of the Royal Astronautical Association of Canada, Omnia Sol / CBSAP is one of the worlds largest non-profit STEM outreach programs, we are a group of dedicated volunteers and educators who use the wonders of our star to promote science to schools and the public, totally free of charge. What do we do?

- education and information on the Sun, astronomy, the environment and solar system
- state of the art, SAFE solar telescopes to observe the Sun in various wavelengths
- FREE (ISO12312-2) solar viewing glasses for everyone who participates
- a life changing experience!

Our biggest goal is to touch the lives of everyday people and to make them pause and 'look up' in wonder at something they've been told was not observable, the Sun. Using city parks as the setting for these amazing educational experiences gives the opportunity to connect with local foot traffic, representing the entire population while also being a comfortable and beautiful viewing area.

Parks we work in:

  • Hawrelak Park
