Ottawa Rowing Club

The Ottawa Rowing Club offers a variety of rowing programs including youth camps, learn to row, para-rowing (rowing with a disability), recreational, masters, competitive, university, high school and junior development rowing servicing 900+ members. We also administer and manage a free youth-centred and team-oriented program called Let's Row Ottawa and we host educational courses for rowing coaches and volunteers wishing to gain more experience and education in sport, particularly rowing. We also host a number of competitive rowing regattas and we host special events at our historic location (the Ottawa Rowing Club's original Boathouse has historical designation and is a fixture in Ottawa's history and our place on the Ottawa River) for the general public, including free try rowing days and celebrations on holidays like Canada Day. These free, public events help to educate the community about the history of rowing in Ottawa and Canada and our original Boathouse is an example of the early architecture that once existed (most Boathouse structures like ours no longer exist).
