Rescued Bears & other friends
Rescued Bears is an eco friendly social enterprise whose mission is to reuse and renew abandoned plush toys, create awareness about recycling and raise funds for the charity we support - West Toronto Keys to Inclusion - helping adults with intellectual disabilities. We have held one Teddy Bear picnic in a Toronto park and would like to hold more of them. Held on the same day as a farmers market, the picnic consists of a scavenger hunt for kids, BASH (bear ambulatory surgical hospital) where kids can get their toys repaired, a dog show where your dog could win a prize for “best in show” fun categories, and a picnic - either bring your own or with purchased food specials offered by the market vendors.
