The Chill Foundation

The Chill Foundation offers youth development board sports programs for at-risk and under served youth in Toronto. Parks act as the venue for Chill's Mobile Skateboard Park Programs. Chill's primary goal is to build the internal capacity and resiliency of Chill's youth participants through a youth development curriculum focused on six themes of: Respect, Patience, Persistence, Responsibility, Courage, and Pride. We use skateboarding as a learning tool to connect these skills to the sport and transfer these lessons to the participants everyday lives. Chill removes all barriers for under served youth to access our programs by providing all equipment (skateboards, helmets, and safety pads), instruction, supportive adult mentors, and a mobile skate park to bring Chill's programs to areas and children who would normally never have access to skateboarding and skateboard parks within their immediate community.
