The Jasper Place Wellness Centre

The Jasper Place Wellness Centre is a community development organization that has been Working in West Edmonton since 2006. The JPWC has five focuses in the community, Health Care, Employment, Food Security, Education and Housing.

Being a forward-thinking organization the JPWC was the first agency in Edmonton to use the housing first model and has since housed over 1100 previously homeless individuals. On top of that success, the JPWC runs 5 different social enterprise businesses with a focus on employment paying all staff a living wage, plus benefits.

The JPWC also runs an inclusive Community Health Centre where Doctors focus on building healthy relationships with their clients, and the surrounding communities. JPWC is at the forefront of food security in Edmonton currently running low-cost fruit and veggie markets monthly while fundraising to create a permanent Community Food Centre where food will be sold, grown, and cooked.

With innovation being one of JPWC’s core values the organization continues to grow and take steps towards creating a safer, more resilient Edmonton.
