Toronto Beekeepers Collective

We are a group of about forty people from various areas of Toronto, who are interested in providing a healthy and sustainable urban environment for honeybees as well as other pollinators and important flora and fauna in and around the GTA. We have honeybee apiaries in several public parks and areas around Toronto, and in non-COVID times offer educational webinars and workshops to the public which are often held within the parks. We have members who are quite versed in local flora and seeds, and we would like to be able, with help from the public, plant pollinator gardens that are friendly to honeybees as well as local bees and other pollinators. We would also like to provide educational videos for the public from our hives and gardens within these parks. We also work with Foodshare and the people involved in their community.
