Winston Heights-Mountview Community Association

The Winston Heights-Mountview Community Association is a responsive neighbourhood organization with a membership that is active, caring and engaged in making Winston Heights-Mountview a livable, attractive, safe, friendly, inclusive and sustainable community. Through effective leadership and with a proud sense of history and fun, the Winston Heights-Mountview Community Association meets the needs of our diverse community of over 3,600 residents, including many seniors and young families, by providing facilities, programs and services. As an inner city community, we have a goal in providing safe and affordable options for all residents and to accomplish this, we rely heavily on the beautiful park spaces that exist within the community. Within Winston Heights Park, we were one of the first communities in the City to have a City of Calgary rain garden and the park now is home to a beautiful and award-winning community garden, a sustainable centennial garden filled with plants that are native to Alberta and a outdoor skating rink that has existed for over 25 years. At the east end of the community we have Veteran's Park which borders Nose Creek Park, Elks Golf Club and the pathway system and includes a community-built playground and a off-leash dog park. At the west end of the community we have Munro Park which borders Edmonton Trail and 18th Ave NE and is a very popular location for local walkers, runners, and soccer players. We have done our best to showcase our parks throughout our community events and would like to do even more.
