Women’s Cycling Network
Women's Cycling Network is an inclusive group of cyclists identifying and challenging the barriers to cycling for women in the GTA and was co-founded by Najia Zewari, leader of Women's Wellness Cafe, with help from Cycle Don Valley Midtown. Najia has supported many women from Flemingdon Park and Thorncliffe Park who were eager to learn how to cycle. With support from Evergreen Brickworks and CultureLink Bike Host program for instruction and from the Gateway Bicycle Hub to refurbish bikes, more than 100 women are now able to ride in local parks, pathways, and on local roads.
