This destination is suitable for groups of children.

Get up close with wildlife at the Raptor Center for a live birds of prey show featuring more than two-dozen live birds. After a short hike around the reservoir enjoy a picnic lunch and visit the barn to meet goats, sheep, horses, and rabbits.

Mountsberg Conservation Area is located in the heart of Halton Parks, offering a range of fun nature interactions for guests of all ages. Enjoy the live birds of prey show at the Raptor Center, take a hike around the reservoir and visit a new barn full of farm animals for interactive experiences. A maple sugar bush is open in late winter.


Suggested Itinerary

Plan to arrive at Mountsberg by 11:00am in order to catch the Bird of Prey show. Mountsberg is located about an hour and a half from Toronto, and 30-45 minutes from both Hamilton and Mississauga. We suggest hiring a tour bus for the day.

Mountsberg is located at 2259 Milburough Line, Campbelville, ON L0P 1B0 and is not accessible by public transit. Parking is included in the price of admission and is available on site.

Morning Activities 
Begin the day at the Raptor Centre, home to 15 different species of native birds of prey. The Raptor Centre is a rehabilitation facility for injured birds, and a permanent home to birds that cannot be re-released into the wild.

Live Birds of Prey Shows are presented twice daily in July and August and on weekends from September to June. These shows are educational and exciting, held in the netted flyaway behind the Raptor Centre.

Morning Hike
Participants can enjoy an easy 1.5km hike along the Wildlife Walkway trail and enjoy views of the reservoir and spot the Mountsberg Bison herd.

After the hike, enjoy lunch in the picnic area next to the Discovery Centre and Gift Shop.

Afternoon Activities
Explore the barn to see goats, sheep, horses, and bunnies. Stop in at the gift shop before you leave to check out educational toys and gifts, and tasty maple treats.
