A network that cares about Montreal’s parks

Message from Minister Chantal Rouleau

The Gouvernement du Québec is proud to support the development of the Montreal Park People Network. By supporting the maintenance and enhancement of urban parks, this network contributes to improving the quality of life of the citizens of the metropolis and stimulates public involvement.

This is a great opportunity for the Network to participate in the development of sustainable and healthy environments. Indeed, Montreal’s green spaces and natural environments also play a key role in reducing heat islands, retaining stormwater, cleaning up the air and preserving habitats that support biodiversity.

We are therefore pleased to support this initiative, which reinforces Montrealers’ sense of belonging and their pride in their living environment. I hope that they will be able to enjoy the city’s natural environment and outdoor recreational facilities for many years to come.
