In a recent Park People national survey, 82% of Canadians said that parks have become more important to their mental health during COVID-19. But, we know that not everyone feels
equally safe, respected, and welcome in their local parks.

The Community Resilience Project supports local Park Ambassadors who help parks feel more safe and accessible for people living in underserved communities.

Working in collaboration with local community groups and organizations, the program provides community-based and responsive park programming and guidelines for safe park use in high needs Toronto neighbourhoods communities including Rexdale, Scarborough East,  Flemingdon Park, Agincourt and Scarlettwood.
