A Walk in the Park

Help lead your community to better fitness and social connections

Love to walk? You can be A Walk in the Park walk leader & help inspire your community to join accessible walking activities in local parks.

We’ll provide the training and support to make your group a success. 

Walk Leaders Like You Wanted

As a walk leader, you’ll get hands-on, practical training and support to organize a local walking club in your community that will meet 4 to 6 times for walks in the park. The walking clubs are specifically for newcomers, older adults and seniors to get them inspired to join walks.

We’re looking for walk leaders in the following neighbourhoods:

  • Rexdale (Etobicoke)
  • Bathurst & Finch (North York)
  • Taylor Massey (East York/Scarborough)

Interested? Let’s Meet for A Walk in the Park

Park People is leading a series of walks to help get you acquainted with the program and the walk leader role. We hope you’ll join us.

  • Thursday, October 12th (11:00am to 1:30pm) 373 Cedarvale Ave.
  • Tuesday, October 3rd (1:30pm-3:30pm), Earl Bales Community Centre, 4169 Bathurst St.
