Heart Berry Mural Unveiling Celebration & Ravine Days Activities

Join STEPS Public Art and Park People for a full weekend of art activities and community celebrations as part of the Ravines Days

A new mural is coming to Toronto’s Rowntree Mills made for the community by the community and artist Lindsey Lickers, Mushkiiki Nibi Kwe (Medicine Water Woman). Come celebrate the launch of the new mural that animates the entrance to the Humber River Trail and Rowntree Mills Ravine system.

Saturday, October 7 – Land-based Arts/Reflection Workshops with Richa Baghel, creative guru & multidisciplinary artist

A workshop to explore your creativity and connect with nature through your senses, co-creating a mandala, sketching intricate trees, crafting sun prints using natural objects, and enjoying refreshments.

Sunday, October 8 – Medicine walk & arts

An immersive event offers diverse activities to connect with nature through arts, including a medicine walk, reflection and teachings workshop, and a spoken word performance.

From Weeds We Grow is an interdisciplinary project rooted in Rexdale and Humber Summit’s green and natural spaces and the surrounding communities through artistic, Indigenous, multicultural, environmental, and community-based approaches to public space.
