Located in the northeast part of the Montreal Botanical Garden, the Frédéric-Back Tree Pavilion highlights the importance of trees and forests in our lives and showcases the arboretum’s collections. The Frédéric-Back Pavilion raises public awareness about the roles played by trees in various aspects of human life and in the ecological balance of several ecosystems. It provides a hub for various citizen activities, serving as a space for connection.
Upon arriving at the main entrance of the Botanical Garden, should I register at the reception desk?
The reception staff has been informed about the event. You will simply need to mention Montreal Park Forum and present your confirmation ticket. Upon arrival, you will be greeted at a welcome table located in front of the Tree Pavilion. The Forum organizers will be there to check you in and provide you with your name badge.
How do I register for the guided tour?
You can register for the Arboretum Guided Tour at the same time you register for the event. Simply check “yes” to the question “Souhaitez-vous participer à une des visites guidées du Jardin botanique à 15h?”. Spots are limited, so don’t delay in booking yours.
I am not participating in the guided tour; what time should I arrive?
The guided tour of the Botanical Garden’s Arboretum is optional. If you’re unable to attend the tour or would rather not, we invite you to join us at 3:30 pm for the start of our networking activities.
Is the forum maintained in case of bad weather?
Yes, the forum will still take place on the scheduled date in case of bad weather, as the Frédéric-Back Tree Pavilion is an indoor space. If you are joining the guided tour, please dress appropriately for the weather, including an umbrella, a waterproof jacket, and water-resistant shoes.
Accessibility of Botanical Garden Tours (Optional visits):
While most of the Arboretum’s trails are accessible, some paths are partially accessible due to being more rugged. There may be steep inclines or surfaces that are less suitable for those using mobility aids (see the map). The guides leading the tours can adapt and take alternative routes.
If you would like to join one of the guided tours but anticipate potential challenges on partially accessible paths, please leave a comment in the registration form indicating:
