Artistic Director and Facilitator specializing in Indigenous Collaborations, Founder of O’yenhra’ Consultations
Founder of O’yenhra’ Consultations, Carling Sioui (Wendat) is an artistic director and facilitator specializing in Indigenous collaborations. She holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the Université de Montréal and the Technische Universität München. Her interest in Indigenous and universal well-being in cities led her to research the impact of urban planning on everyday experiences, and consequently, the impact of heritage on the general public. She combines her cultural knowledge with her expertise in art and design to foster intercultural exchange, guided by the Two-Eyed Seeing approach developed by Mi’kmaq Elder Albert Marshall.
Carling has contributed to the City of Montreal’s 2020–2050 Urban Plan (2023), to the naming of Atateken Street (2019) and the Mary Two-Axe Early station (2025), and served as artistic director for the creation of the Wampum of Friendship with the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal for the Native Friendship Centre of Montreal (2025). Her mission is to rebalance narratives through creative and strategic projects.
