Executive Director, Les Amis de la montagne
Christophe Derrien has been the Executive Director of Les Amis de la montagne since January 2025. With over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and manufacturing sectors, he has held leadership roles in health, safety, environment, quality, and continuous improvement.
Over the past five years, he has dedicated his expertise to the non-profit sector, leading organizations such as Sollicité and Ville en Vert, where he spearheaded initiatives with significant social and environmental impact.
Originally from Brittany and based in Quebec since 2003, Christophe holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Chemistry from Nottingham Trent University. He is a member of the Ordre des Chimistes du Québec and the Ordre des Administrateurs Agréés, and also holds a certification in wine and spirits.
Known for his inclusive leadership and collaborative approach, he serves on several boards of directors, reflecting his deep commitment to meaningful and community-driven projects.
At Les Amis de la montagne, Christophe is dedicated to advancing the organization’s mission: to protect, enhance, and promote the long-term sustainability of Mount Royal by engaging the community around this iconic Montreal landmark.
