With bachelor’s and master’s degrees in urban planning, Chaïma Ben has more than 8 years of experience with the City of Montreal, where she held various strategic roles focused on developing livable communities. She contributed to the development and implementation of major strategies and projects, particularly in human-scale urban planning, sustainable mobility, stormwater management, and urban revitalization.
Known for her collaborative leadership, strategic thinking, and ability to mobilize others, Chaïma brings her experience to the Centre d’écologie urbaine* as Executive Director, helping to strengthen collective capacity to act and accelerate the transition toward more sustainable, inclusive, and human-scale cities.
