Food Systems Coordinator, Recreation Department, City of Victoria
Julia is the Food Systems Coordinator for the City of Victoria. She comes to the role after over 15 years of experience working in community, public space and food initiatives. Over the years she has worked with a wide variety of organizations, including community arts organizations, remote off-grid homesteads, urban farm businesses, orchards, community centres and now municipal government. In her current role she manages the Get Growing, Victoria! program, which distributes over 100,000 free seedlings to Victoria residents each year, as well as a suite of policies designed to support urban food production and community gardening in the City.
