Before joining EcoSpark, Dana researched citizen science with Ontario Nature, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Air Research Program, and Delaware StreamWatch, with some intermittent seasons on organic farms. She is an active member of the Citizen Science Association. She graduated as a Master of Environmental Management in 2012 from Duke University, where she loved buzzing with bumblebees in the field. These days, her toddler and preschooler help Dana view nature from their excellent perspective close to the soil.
