Nicole DesRoches, born in Ottawa and living in Chelsea Québec, part of the National Capital Region, therefore living within the context of Québec Law. She has been involved in environmental dossiers for more than 40 years and navigating both provincial regimes. Originally teaching in primary school but involved in different political movements, she became executive director of a Regional Council on the Environment and Sustainable Development in 2000. She is involved with the Greenspace Alliance of the National Capital board of directors and president of a Watershed Protection Agency.
