Sarah-Maude Cossette

Geographer and Researcher, Organisme Respire

Sarah-Maude Cossette is a geographer and researcher at Organisme Respire, a Montreal-based non-profit organization specializing in qualitative research on urban issues. She co-leads the ADOES research project, which explores the practices and needs of adolescent girls in the city.

She has strong expertise in qualitative methodologies, complemented by hundreds of hours of field experience in urban environments—day and night, summer and winter. She has carried out research projects across a wide range of urban contexts and among populations marginalized in public spaces, including women, youth, older adults, people experiencing homelessness, and urban animals.

In line with Organisme Respire’s mission, she is committed to conducting research that responds to the realities and needs of communities.
